The sweetheart won't fight for your work and the asshole will put his name on yours. Neither one will end up helping your career. There are a lot of great people in this business. You may end up working for some unsavory people by mistake but eventually you'll find some worth working for if you're talented. For example, I freelanced for Bart for awhile – he supported his people and pushed them at the same time. This helped his employer and his employees. It's possible to win, win. Don't settle on lame work or lame bosses. Having actually worked for these personality types, I can easily say that they both suck. The sweetheart won’t fight for your work and the asshole will put his name on yours. Neither one will end up helping your career.
